I've installed a new green tube, the R and B tubes are original and in excellent shape. You'll get 9000 hours + out of these tubes. 92 Khz scan rate makes the set good past line quadrupling, all resolutions of HDTV, line doubling, tripling, computers, etc. Good for past 1280 X 1024 resolution. Video, S-video and RGB inputs accept a wide variety of signals. Scheimpflug adjustments for tweaking the corner focus, perfect for surfing the net on a 10' screen with your computer. The point convergence board is installed for 100 points of convergence per color for super fine tuning right to the edges of the image. An astigmatism circuit has been added to the Plus chassis over the plain PG for better focusing control. High video bandwidth make the set great for HDTV, and seeing all of those details that you're missing with plasma and other 'state of the art' digital technology. 1080p ready when Blu Ray comes out. Modular construction make future service easy, unlike the disposable digital sets that you throw out the second they break out of warranty. Digital convergence with on screen menus guide you through the simple set up. Simple to set up and to maintain, the NEC's is what I personally prefer to install and view. 4:3 and 16:9 aspect ratio compatible.
