Description
This Sony MOD-RF1 AC-3 RF demodulator is fully functional and in excellent cosmetic condition. There are some scratches on the left side of the outer case, but the faceplate is in great shape. I will also include a copy of the owner's manual. The Sony MOD-RF1 allows you to hear the DOLBY DIGITAL soundtracks of AC-3 encoded laserdiscs, by converting the AC-3 RF signal into a bitstream that is compatible with a standard S/PDIF Dolby Digital input on your receiver or preamp. It has a single coaxial input for connection to the AC-3 RF output of a laserdisc player, and both coaxial and optical digital outputs, one of which is then connected to a standard digital input on your receiver or preamp/processor. Because it has BOTH coaxial and optical digital output jacks, you can use whichever type of input you have available. It operates on standard 120-volt AC, so no transformer or outboard power supply is needed.  The front panel has an ON/OFF switch with an LED that illuminates when the unit is turned on. There is also a "LOCKED" LED that comes on when an AC-3 RF signal is present. As with all used electronics, I guarantee that this Sony MOD-RF1 AC-3 RF demodulator will arrive as described and in working condition, but it is otherwise sold on an AS-IS basis, with no other warranty. Buyer to pay $12.95 for shipment by insured USPS Priority Mail. Payment to be made within 7 days after the auction. I accept PayPal, checks and money orders. Personal checks will delay shipment by 10 days to allow time for the check to clear. If using PayPal, shipment MUST be to a PayPal "Confirmed" address. Please feel free to e-mail with any questions, and thanks for looking!
